I loved the video clips used in the presentation- plan to use them in the future

I also liked the video clips. It kept me interested.

I appreciated the comments about the disconnects between digital natives and immigrant teachers. It's a learning style I was not familiar with that opens up a whole new category of questions about how to reach my students.

SBY brings a new perspective to the challenges of education today. She makes the acknowledgement of such issues mandatory in all school districts.

I agree with the fact that if you stop thinking-"you'll lose your mind." So don't stop thinking, learn something new everyday.

I am energized by the information SBY presented this morning. I received a lot of great information and look at the move integration of technology into my classroom as a welcomed challenge. I believe that my students will benefit greatly from what I learned today!!!

I thought the presentation on why change is so important to be digitally informed was right on target

Lots of great info!

she was on target

I would have appreciated more time spent on less topics - she flew through a brief overview of many topics.

Shifthappens will be presented at our first PTO meeting. Perhaps when parents see why it is Necessary to push the students they will want to encourage student's best effort at all times above all things.

I am sorry that I missed this speaker!

I was excited and energized after my sessions each day. I have wanted more time in each session to explore.

It is amazing that Susan is so on target especially since she goes back in time to living rough--without city means.

Very informative and some good thought to take back to the classroom.

Internet2 is a fascinating technology that is being used by the University of Louisville and Jefferson Community & Technical College. Jefferson County Public Schools will be joining the UL Internet2 bandwith June 18, 2007.
Thanks for all of the information on Internet2! I can now go and visit http://i2.ky.gov for more information on this subject matter.

Thanks It was very informative.

Sorry I missed your session. It sounds like it was a wonderful session. I would like to have the opportunity sit under your teaching.

I found it sad that we are so behind the times at JCPS. We need training and more resources in the school just to keep up with out students - yes just to keep up.

Viewing the current statistics concerning college students graduating on time, I will be extremely proud of my son next year! I enjoyed the video about the teachers resistant to change...however, I do believe it should have stated :teach differently, not teach different. I thought the whole program was interesting, and the analogy to the native and immigrant helpful. I had diffuculty hearing the speaker in the small classroom though.

Glad to be brought up to date on Internet2 and the potential it offers the masses in education not connected to a university.

The information on the video about how china has more honor students than we have students in the u.s. was overwhelming and a little scary. Is America the child that is being "left behind" ? I certainly feel like I am in the middle ages now!

I totally agree with sby on how shift happens.

I felt very comfortable learning about new web sites, etc. I need to get with the program to be able to help our younger generation learn in the way that will help them in the future.

Sorry I missed the speaker - it sounds like I missed a wonderful learning opportunity!!

I've been showing this to faculty and helping them to understand these concepts. After hearning Susan, I'll be using her sites and concepts while I share these new technologies with faculty.

Susan gave me a great deal of information to think about. It is exciting to think what Web2 will allow us to do. I am so glad she presented.

The Shift Happens video is very sad but eye opening in the same sense. I think that the internet is changing the way we all look at our jobs.

I enjoyed this session. There is so much to explore that I will need a year off to learn how to use it all!

I also enjoyed the discussion on digital native and immigrant categories. I wanted to let the immigrants know that even natives aren't experts on all technologies. I find that I'm an expert on many technologies and I learn easier than others, but I also struggle with many other aspects. Technology is just so HUGE. I like focusing on one technology or program and become an expert on that technology. :)

Thanks for a small number of sessions with plenty of time to explore

Interesting. Brought many things into reality for me.

Mindboggling! I have been using computers since 1975 when we used cards for data entry and were happy when the computer spat out our results withint 48 hours! But I am still a digital immigrant in that I find it hard to keep up with all the new ways to communicate.
Great ideas. Lots to think of.
Thanks!!!

I learned a lot and I hope that I can take it all back to my school! Thanks for presenting to us!

Her presentation was well thought out but quite repetitive. The presentation could've been shorter and the info would have still been communicated.

I am more excited and overwhelmed than ever! Technology is advancing at a mind-blowing speed. There are so many COOL tools out there. I can't wait to start using them more.

I thought the two days were wonderful. I am at an informaiton overload, but now I feel I have learned some words in the technish language.

All of the presenters and keynote speakers were full of information that I can definitely use in the future and now.

Thank you for all the people who work to organize this and presented to all of us.

I've learned so much in two days. I wonder if my kids will buy-in to these resources and engage in the learning process. Last year was disappointing in the overwhelming lack of desire to read, write and do math.

Lots of fascinating possibilities! I think I bookmarked everything... So much to do. We may still be assuming a lot in terms of basic literacy--ability to read or even willingness to listen to instructions--that challenge my studets day in and day out. But these tools may help.
